What are the differences between a landing page and a microsite?

Both sites focus on a specific topic and are therefore used as an intensive online marketing tool.

The landing page is a “stand-alone” page to motivate the user to act as quickly as possible. It has a clearly recognizable CTA and no distracting links. A microsite, on the other hand, presents the topic in a more complex way than a landing page and can therefore be more extensive. The user is deliberately given time to learn more about the product. This is why a microsite is particularly suitable for campaigns with products that require explanation.

A landing page usually adapts the appearance of the main page and can therefore be created more quickly. It is particularly suitable for lead generation of smaller offers that do not need extensive explanation. The user can enter his data directly in a corresponding form being distracted.
