Is an interactive website worth it?

An interactive website encourages a two-way communication and thus builds a stronger bond with the target group. But there's much more to it than "just" marketing. An interactive website also demonstrates your design expertise and takes the viewer on a visual journey. Here are some further top reasons why an interactive website or app pays off:
  • Generates valuable data on customer behavior
  • Enables higher engagement of the target group
  • Delivers a customized user experience
  • Offers more potential for valuable backlinks and thus a higher SEO ranking
  • Presents your USP in an appealing way, setting you apart from the competition

How do we create interactive projects?

We start with a creative workshop: Together, we analyze your topic and your target group. Afterwards, our developers brainstorm to come up with suitable user flows.

Based on the appropriate user flow, we design a wireframe that shows the entire content in a simple layout. To ensure that your wireframe is really convincing, we test it on people from your target group.

The user testing was successful, and you’re happy with the content? Great, let’s get started! We design, we develop, we program.

Are you convinced? Awesome! We finalize the product and hand you over the key to an easier world. Voilà.

FAQ about interactive websites and apps

  • 1. What makes a good interactive website?

A good interactive website arouses the viewer’s interest, conveys the most important information at the same time and looks appealing in terms of design and not too oppressive.

The following points should be considered:

    • Design
    • Loading time
    • Search fields
    • “Call to Action”
  • 2. How do I create an interactive website?

In the first step, you should always define your business goals and consider at which touch points you can interact with the target group. Of course, you should also analyze the target group in detail. Only if you know the preferences of the target group can you create an individual user experience with the right interactive formats.

To make a website “interactive”, you need to integrate different elements into the website that encourage user interaction. These can include links, special buttons, interactive videos, certain forms for entering data, playful elements, comment functions, and much more. There are no limits to your creativity here, as long as it is in line with the interest of the target audience.

For the integration of animation, for example, CSS or JavaScript is mostly used. However, you also have the option to work with interactive website builders or to cooperate with an agency, which of course takes over the entire technical development process.

  • 3. How much does an interactive website cost?

Unfortunately, this question cannot be answered with a blanket answer. An interactive website offers a wide range of design options, from simple buttons that the user just has to click through to elaborate user experiences.

So it always depends on which style you choose, how you want to integrate the interactive elements, how many subpages the main page is divided into, and how elaborate the overall visual appearance is.

Of course, the price also depends a lot on whether you want to have it created yourself with a webpage builder or work with a professional agency.

The more designers and developers are on board, the more expensive it will be. However, a good agency will always try to find a solution for an individual budget. If you are interested in an interactive website, feel free to contact our project managers.

  • 4. Why do I need an interactive Website?

Due to sensory overload with the accompanying decreasing human attention span, it is becoming increasingly difficult to arouse the interest of the target group. This is especially true for the webpage. If you do not succeed in arousing the interest of the target group within the first few seconds, the visitor will be gone again.

This is exactly where interactive websites come into play. Because they make the visitor an active participant, enable an individual user experience, and thus hold their interest over a longer period of time. Apart from that, interactive websites also offer great creative scope.

  • 5. What is an interactive website?

With interactive formats, the user is not just a passive viewer but is actively involved in the content.

Modern websites are all interactive in some way: the user clicks on links and buttons, looks at images and videos and, if necessary, enters his or her data in a form.

However, specifically interactive websites go one step further: in interactive web design, the users are even more involved in the format and play a decisive role in content design. Above all, their individual preferences are taken into account. There are various options for this. For example, certain graphics can be integrated that are only displayed at the user’s request, or the user is already asked for some information when opening the page, which subsequently adapts the content. Individual gamification elements, e.g. in the form of guessing games, are also very popular.
