Krebsliga Schweiz – An association with a great mission

Interactive content and explainer videos to support cancer prevention

With a walk-in intestinal model, Krebsliga takes part in trade fairs and thus draws attention to the topic of “intestinal cancer”. We had the pleasure of supporting them at their booth – with informative interactive user interfaces, several infographics and explainer videos.

Krebsliga Schweiz

For more than a hundred years, Krebsliga has been committed throughout Switzerland to cancer prevention and early detection, the promotion of research at Swiss universities, hospitals and academic research institutes, and the provision of advice and support for those affected and their families. The association comprises a total of 18 cantonal and regional cancer beds, as well as the umbrella organisation Krebsliga Schweiz.

The Swiss Cancer League regularly participates in trade fairs where it presents, among other things, a walk-in intestinal model which illustrates the various stages of the development of colorectal cancer in a concise and vivid manner and thus provides specific information to visitors.

The challenge

The project was like no other, because we were faced with the exciting task of developing several products at the same time, which of course all had to be in harmony with each other. Added to this was the sensitivity of the topic. How do we make such a serious topic as attractive and informative as possible? How do we reach as many trade fair visitors as possible?

How can the information be presented in a playful way? And how do we guarantee maximum user-friendliness? The development of a functioning concept was probably the biggest challenge. Several times we had to rethink, change and optimise the concept. Always keeping usability in mind, we finally arrived at the final result.

The solution

And voilà – the result was an interactive quiz in which the user can choose for himself on which topic he would like to receive additional information. At the same time, there was also a fact-based navigation for all the theorists among the trade fair visitors, where personally relevant questions can be selected.

We were supported by the external partner Joinbox in the concept implementation for the interactive user interface and the interactive infographics. In addition, we created explanatory videos, which are designed according to the wishes of the Cancer League and explain the topic “colorectal cancer” in a simple style and in an easily understandable way. We have divided the videos into different topics: From general information about risk factors of cancer, its development, possibilities for prevention and early detection. We also address the specific topic “colorectal cancer” in separate videos.

A successul outcome

The hard work has paid off – because the customer, as well as the trade fair visitors and also the stand attendants were extremely satisfied with the result.

The audience enjoyed clicking through the multitude of topics, videos and infographics and was thus able to be informed intensively on all topics. Thanks to the simple application there were also no comprehension problems. We are happy about this positive feedback of our products and appreciate the cooperation!

“All those involved have contributed important inputs to the project realization, so that this challenge could be successfully mastered as a team consisting of Krebsliga, Joinbox and Cleverclip. The final product is proof of this well-functioning cooperation.”
