TedxZurich - The Ideas' Conference in Switzerland
“Ideas worth spreading” is the motto of the world-famous “TED-Talk” conference at which speakers and thinkers share their ideas since 1984.
“TED” stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design and has its origin in California. But nowadays these conferences are spread all over the world with a much wider range of topics – as for example business, art, politics, culture, science. And therefore the TED-Talk also comes to Zurich once a year, where CEOs, artists and creatives conquer the stage and exchange ideas and concepts in a short and motivational speech.
On November 18, 2018, inspiring speakers presented their approaches to connections that should improve our world under the motto “Connection”.
“Connection”. An enormously important social topic, because far too often we still orientate ourselves on differences instead of commonalities that unite us. We were faced with the exciting challenge of producing a video that illustrates exactly this topic at TEDxZurich 2018. The motto should be presented in general and at the same time the different, wide-ranging approaches should be indicated.
But how do we make the video at such an international event understandable for everyone? How do we manage to appeal to the audience emotionally? And exactly how can we focus on the topic in the shortest possible time?
In order to make the content accessible to everyone at a multicultural event, we deliberately refrained from voice over and worked exclusively with background music. All the more the topic had to convince on a visual level and through an appealing design.
The result was a dynamic video which, with the help of Liquid Motion approaches, guides us through various forms of the “Connection” theme.
Inspiring, innovative and surprising – Humans are all connected in different ways in this world and that was perfectly emphasized in the video. We appreciate the exciting cooperation and look forward to future projects.
